Why Does My Aquarium Need an Air Pump?

Which Model Do I Need?

As a general guide, match the air pump output to your tank size and what you’re running from it. A single air stone in a small tank is well served by the Precision 1500 or 2500. Maintenance Tips

Replace your airstone every 6 months or when it shows signs of deterioration. A clogged airstone reduces output and puts unnecessary strain on the pump.
If your pump becomes noisy or the flow rate drops noticeably, this is usually a sign that the diaphragm assembly needs replacing, an easy and inexpensive fix using the spare parts listed above.
Always unplug the pump before removing the cover for any maintenance or diaphragm replacement.
