API Ammonia Test Kit helps you monitor ammonia, the number one stressor and killer of tropical and pond fish. Ammonia is released from fish gills, urine, solid waste, uneaten food, and decaying organic matter. Even small amounts can stress fish, while higher levels are toxic and can lead to gill damage, gasping, decreased activity, and reduced growth.

Directions for Use

• Fill the included test tube with the appropriate amount of water.
• Add the test solution drops as directed in the instructions.
• Compare the resulting colour to the included charts to determine ammonia levels.
• Take corrective action if ammonia is detected, such as improving filtration, adding beneficial bacteria, or removing decaying organic matter.
