Aqua One Snail Eliminator 150mL

Quickly knocks down snail infestations in freshwater aquariums — copper-based formula targets snails without disrupting your tank’s balance (if used correctly).

Got snails multiplying in your aquarium? You’re not alone. Unwanted freshwater snails often hitch a ride on live plants and can rapidly take over if left unchecked. Aqua One Snail Eliminator is specially designed to get rid of snails fast and help you regain control of your tank.

This copper-based treatment is highly effective — but like anything strong, it must be used with care. Always test your water hardness first before dosing (more on that below).

Where Do Aquarium Snails Come From?

Many species of freshwater snails sneak into aquariums via live plants. Even just one or two tiny eggs can bloom into a full-blown snail invasion in no time.

Prevention tip: Always rinse new plants thoroughly in running water before placing them in your tank. It’s the best way to avoid outbreaks.

⚠️ Safe Use Guidelines

  • DO NOT use in soft water aquariums (less than 50ppm total hardness)
  • This product contains copper and can be toxic to fish if misused
  • Always test water hardness before using (use a water hardness test kit that tests general hardness in ppm)
  • Remove activated carbon from your filter before and during treatment — carbon will render this product ineffective

How to Use

  1. Test water hardness first. Only use if your water is above 50ppm GH (general hardness)
  2. Shake bottle well before use
  3. Dosage: Add 5mL per 20L of aquarium water
  4. Repeat the dose after 3 days if needed
  5. Do not overdose — always measure carefully!

How to Calculate Aquarium Volume

Use this simple formula to estimate your tank size in litres:

Length × Width × Water Height (in cm) ÷ 1000 = Litres
