This filter requires very little maintenance due to its automated screening and collection systems. These remove large debris such as leaf litter and waste before they enter the filter itself. The motor of this mechanism is double-sealed to ensure an increased service life. This adjustable automatic cleaning system makes the separation of waste incredibly efficient. This initial large particle filter belt will clean itself depositing waste into a tray for easy removal and disposal. The filter sponges are located underneath this automatic system. To clean them simply lift the filter belt and use the attached handle to squeeze the sponges out inside the filter while diverting the flow into a secondary outlet into your garden/drain.

Monitoring all of these functions is an LED controller and cleaning sensor. Which also includes a manual index button for user convenience. Compared to the previous BioTec 12 model, it has a larger waste collection hopper. Additionally, it boasts a new storm-proof filter lid with easy-open clips for durability and accessibility.

If you wish to attach a UVC component to your filtration (recommended to prevent the growth of blue-green algae) the filter box inlet has a direct connection inbuilt for the OASE Bitron 110C.
