The OASE Filtosmart range of external aquarium filters are excellent for tanks between 60 to 300 litres with moderate fish stock. Like most OASE filters they prioritise energy efficiency while maintaining quiet operation to minimise those annoying buzzing sounds classically associated with aquarium set ups. Combining mechanical and biological filtration with a large surface area these filters ensure crystal clear water. They range in flow rate from 300 – 1000 litres per hour. We recommend these filters to anyone with a medium amount of fish in tanks under 300L. As a compact external filter, it allows for increased volumes of filtration media as well as eliminating any obvious filtration units within the tank itself – excellent for anyone wanting to maximise the aesthetic quality of their set-up.
The Filtosmart units are designed for a quick and easy complete set up. They come included with all necessary filter media, hoses, adapters, suction and discharge pipes and a water diffuser.
If you require heating in your set up you can easily slot one of OASEs fully compatible HeatUp aquarium heaters (SOLD SEPARATELY) into your Filtosmart unit. These units are sold separately but designed to slot together seamlessly keeping all filtration and heating elements combined and out of the way.
This filter will sit outside of your tank either next to or behind it with two pipes connecting it to your aquarium.
