The Fish Works only has Firestone EPDM rubber pond liner for sale, cut-to-size.
Beware of cheap plastic liners as they puncture easily and are not UV-stabilised. This means you will need to rebuild your fish pond when the liner degrades in a year or so! NOT fun.
Use rubber pond liner to acheive a natural-looking fish pond.
Here is a guide to working out how much pond liner (or pond liner underlay) you will require and we will make sure it’s cut to size.
Measure the maximum length and width of your fish pond.
For the length, add the depth twice and then add 2 x 30cm for some overlap.
Do the same for the width.
This means that if the hole for the pond that you have dug out is 4m x 2m and 50cm deep, then the length of rubber liner that you need is 400cm + 2 x 50cm + 2 x 30cm = 5.6m
Do the same for the width.
200cm + 2 x 50cm + 2 x 30cm = 3.6 m
So we need a piece of EPDM liner that is MINIMUM 5.6 x 3.6m.
The most cost-effective way of purchasing a piece of rubber liner would be to purchase 4m x 6.1m
Consider purchasing pond liner underlay, which will ensure that and sharp rocks, roots, stick etc will not puncture your liner in the future
