UV pressure filters
UV pressure pond filters are great because of their versatility, as they can be placed next to a pond, far away, above, or below the water level of your pond. They are discreet and very easy to clean (IF you buy an OASE or Aquascape pond filter)
The integrated UV filter sterilizes the pond water and prevents green pond water.
Easy AND Effective
Canister filters are designed to sit outside of your pond with an inbuilt ‘backwash’ system to clean them.
Sometimes canister filters get a bad wrap and there is a good reason for this. 95% of them have terrible backwash systems that simply do not work well at removing the dirt from within the filter. This means that to keep their water clean the user needs to periodically open up the filter and clean the sponges with their hands, which is not a fun job!
The OASE Filtoclears are the only canister filter on the market that physically squeezes out the sponges from within the filter, without the need to open it up.
This means that you can clean it in a minute without getting your hands wet or dirty. It’s very simple technology, but they put a patent on it so no other company can use it.

Ultra Violet Sterilisation and Clarification
Fish ponds that receive more than a few hours of direct sunlight per day run the risk of developing algal blooms.
Algal blooms are both unsightly and can sometimes pose a threat to your fish’s health. Algal cells can rob your water of oxygen at night when they are not photosynthesising.
Ponds that receive direct sunlight, particularly in summer, often need U.V. filtration.
The single-celled algae only need the smallest concentration of nutrients to flourish and turn your pond green in the presence of sunlight.
All of our canister filters have this feature fully integrated.
UV Canister Filters
UV canister filters are the easiest way of filtering small to medium-sized water features, up to around 5000 litres.
These filters remove solid particles, kill algal cells and provide good biological filtration.
They are easy to install, but we can help you out with this if you need.
They are high-pressure systems, meaning that water can be directed to water features, such as fountains or waterfalls, with ease.
The Fish Works only stock the best high-pressure filter systems, in the knowledge that they often work out cheaper in the long run.
This is due to their longevity and generous warranty periods, plus they will perform much better than cheaper models.
