Always follow the instructions carefully when using repair kits and sealants for fish ponds. Sealants need time to dry and cure to be effective and to not leech chemicals into the fish pond water. It is always a good idea to rinse the area (or entire pond in the case of using a pond paint) a few times over to remove any surface chemicals before filling with water for your fish. Better yet, give it a quick scrub before use!
