Is your OASE Filtoclear fish pond filter shorting out your electricity?  Remove the 4 screws holding the UV light into the filter to check if water has gotten into the electrics of your Filtoclear.

Often if the issue is simply your UV light not turning on it’s most likely to be a faulty globe. So it’s always a good idea to test this first. If however, you unscrew your UV light and find water has entered the electrics then you will likely need a replacement part.

If your electrics are water damaged, often there is no need to replace the whole filter.  Simply replace the electrics.  This is also a good time to check that the quartz sleeve has no cracks in it and that the O-ring is still good.
